* AYF is a acholarship provided by the Japan Foundation to Asian university graduates who wish to enter a Japanese graduate school. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) - Japan Scholarship Program (JSP) was established in April 1988 with financing from the Government of Japan. Japan Scholarship Program
It aims to provide an opportunity for well-qualified citizens of ADB's developing member countries to pursue postgraduate studies in economics, management, science and technology, and other development-related fields at participating academic institutions in the Asian and Pacific Region.
Upon completion of their study programs, scholars are expected to contribute to the economic and social development of their home countries.
The ADB-JSP enrolls about 300 students annually in 20 academic institutions located in 10 countries within the Region.
The ADB-JSP provides full scholarships for one to two years.

Asian Youth Fellowship Program (AYF) 2009 Japanese Government Scholarship for Study in Japan
Citizens of the Lao PDR who intend to pursue postgraduate studies (Master and Ph. D) in Japan are invited to apply for the Asian Youth Fellowship Program (AYF) 2009. This fellowship program provides preparatory Japanese language education for seven months at the Japan Foundation Japanese-Language Institute in Osaka. On completion of the language course, the students are expected to proceed to graduate schools as Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho) scholarship student from April 2010.
1. Fields of study
•
Those subjects which contribute to socio-economic development of the country.
•
These can be subjects in humanities, social science, natural science or engineering.
2. Eligibility
Prospective applicants must:
(1)
Be a Lao citizen.
(2)
Be not more than 35 years old as of 1 April 2010 (be those who were born on or after 2 April 1975).
(3)
Be a graduate with a bachelor's or a master's degree.
(4)
Be proficient in oral and written English communication skills. (The Japanese language proficiency is not required.)
(5)
Be in good health.
(6)
Have gained approval from their present employers before accepting the scholarship (the government's approval in the case of government employees).
3. Application
(1)
Those who work for the government should submit completed application forms to the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, by 17:00, 31 October 2008.
(2)
The other applicants should submit their application forms to the Embassy of Japan in Vientiane by 17:00, 31 October 2008.

Are there any course for nurse ,doctor or some course special for Medical?I want to to majoring in Medical
as i know, don't have the open scholaship for medical field. it might have some scholaships for the medical field but not the open scholaship. it specific for the student or stuff who works in the faculty/hospital only.
